David is the Head of SME Trade for Lloyds Banking Group having joined them in 2012. His teams’ responsibilities include supporting the banks relationship teams assisting customers with trade solutions allowing improved working capital whilst mitigating their risk. He also works with his team seeking new opportunities with non-Lloyds banked customers for their International and Domestic needs.
David joined Lloyds having spent 25 years at Natwest/RBS. During the last 25 years he worked in the International field with a focus on International Trade. In this role he covered multiple market segments from SME's through to Mid-Market clients in the UK and also worked overseas.
David is regularly asked to speak at events and his topics of expertise includes Security & Defence, the Retail/wholesale sectors, the benefits of working capital through the supply chain and how to get paid when exporting.
David also works closely with the London Metropolitan University on their degree courses. He sits on the International and Security & Defence committees at the London Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the London board of Crimestoppers.
