LDC is delighted to sponsor The LDC Growth Through Innovation Award

As the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, we’re not like other private equity firms.

There’s no uncertainty as to where your capital is coming from. We don’t have to focus on fundraising. We don’t have a set fund cycle. So we can be more flexible, supporting you through ups and downs.

And, we continue to invest in times of uncertainty, with £1.2bn available for our private equity partnerships in the next three years. We are actively looking to support ambitious management teams with real vision.

Our proven track record

Over 600 management teams across the UK have chosen LDC’s flexible approach to private equity over the past 35 years, including household names such as Fever-Tree, Joules, Team17 and The NEC Group. We put management teams at the centre of what we do and the ambitious business leaders we back continue to lead their businesses, taking them from strength to strength.

With the right balance of challenge and support, we provide flexible capital as either minority or majority shareholders, as well as guidance to help business leaders deliver their own objectives

Backing the ambitions of the UK’s mid-market

Our teams are based across 12 key locations – from Aberdeen to Cardiff, via Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and more. Having people on the ground gives us a different perspective to other private equity firms.
We’re well connected, often knowing the same people. And we’re always close by.

We make an initial investment of between £10m and £50m in each of the companies we partner with. And we have up to £100m available for every partnership – so we’re able to support growth strategies with follow on funding in the long term.

If you’re running a UK-headquartered business and have a clear growth strategy, along with a track record and forecast profits of at least £1m per year, get in touch to discover how we could work with you to help realise your growth ambitions.

Backing Ambition

LDC is the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group and has backed more than 600 management teams of mid-market businesses through the highs and lows of the economic cycle since 1981. LDC strongly believes the common thread to business success is an enduring ambition to succeed. Here the firm discusses the importance of ambition in an uncertain climate.

Ambitious Partnerships

At LDC, we have been partnering with ambitious business leaders for more than 35 years. The success stories of these businesses come in many different shapes and sizes, spanning every sector and region of the UK economy. No two growth journeys are the same, but they all have two things in common: ambition and partnership.

Enter The LDC Growth Through Innovation Award

This Award recognises the company that successfully applies any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organisation, company or industry.
