DNAFit revolutionise the diet and fitness industry

10 Oct 2015 by: Rohma Ahmed

In the world of nutrition, DNAFit spells an end to the one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition and exercise by creating bespoke genetically guided nutrition and training programmes; and has become one of the first to take this concept to the UK and international market.

This personalised training is increasingly used by elite sportspeople and 10% of UK Personal Trainers are using DNAFit with the clients.

DNAFit works to change body behaviour permanently, opposed to temporarily changing an individual’s appearance. One way the company achieve this is by targeting the genotype training scheme to keen gym-goers, who aim to achieve quicker results in a short space of time. The company are currently in the process of working with major international gym chains that are all looking to retain customer satisfaction and win new customers by offering something unique and effective.

The company are rapidly expanding as they will also sell the first health and diet DNA test on the High Street; soon retailing their product at GNC stores for £149. Included in the DNA kit will be a month’s free access to the world’s first DNA Menu Planner, where individuals who have been DNAFit- tested will receive menus matched to their genes to help them lose weight.

The test will recognise whether an individual is sensitive to putting on weight from eating refined carbohydrates or saturated fats, which will enable the device to tailor a genetically suitable eating regime for each individual. The kit will also inform individuals on the number carbohydrates, fats and calories which should be consumed per meal, to reach their targeted weight.

DNAFit founder and CEO Avi Lasarow said: “DNAFit is revolutionising the diet and fitness industry by allowing people to harness their genetics and understand how their body really works. This personalised training is increasingly used by elite sportspeople and 10% of UK Personal Trainers are using DNAFit with the clients.

“We’re committed to continue disrupting the world of professional sport, revolutionising the fitness industry and helping to combat obesity.  Our aim is to help all our customers achieve their fitness and diet goals through genetics and continue to push the boundaries of innovation.”
