Building on this year’s review from Dame Carol Black and founded on a growing evidence base that working is good for health, Health Work Wellbeing is a Government-led initiative which brings together employers, unions and healthcare professionals to support the health and wellbeing of all working age people. By promoting healthy workplaces and improving the support available for those with developing health problems, we can help to prevent illness at work and promote swifter rehabilitation for those out of work through ill-health. This year we are delighted to sponsor the Health, Work and Wellbeing Award, and the new Health, Work and Wellbeing Award for Small Business.
Health, Work and Well-being have recently launched the Workplace Well-being Tool: www.businesslink.gov.uk/wwt The new Workplace Well-being tool has been designed to help employers improve the health and well-being of people in their organisation. By using the free tool, employers can get support on a variety of health and well-being measures. This new tool was developed to replace the existing Business Health Check Tool and is an improved web-based version. It is user friendly and versatile, providing step-by-step guidance to employers to support them to work towards improving health and well-being in their organisation. |
