The National Business Awards in partnership with Orange will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday 8th November 2011. The awards will host 1,100 of Britain’s leading entrepreneurs and business leaders to celebrate outstanding business achievement across public and private sector organisations of all shapes and sizes.

The National Business Awards 2010 was a spectacular event. Opening the ceremony with a video message recorded before jetting off to the G20 Summit, Prime Minister David Cameron congratulated all of the finalists recognised at the 2010 Awards saying they were an inspiration not only to the business community but those in government trying to support recovery.Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg made a live speech at the awards and said the role of government was to listen to business and provide the support it needs for growth.
BBC Dragon and founder of the National Enterprise Academy, Peter Jones, presented the award for Entrepreneur of the Year, and Damian Reece, Head of Business at Telegraph Media Group, presented Sir Terry Leahy, CEO of Tesco, with the Daily Telegraph Award for a Decade of Business Excellence. The top award of the evening, voted for by the public and a ballot of top UK CEOs, went to Martin McCourt, CEO of Dyson, who was crowned Orange Leader of the Year for making the business a global player and doubling profit in the last 12 months.
Winners across the standard and nomination categories included ENER-G, Pearson, TelecityGroup, Wow! Stuff, Export Control Organisation, Police Service of Northern Ireland, Port of Blyth, The Co-operative Group, Crafter's Companion, Samworth Brothers, apetito, Ella's Kitchen, Nick Ogden (Voice Commerce), Waitrose, and the Glasgow Marriott Hotel.
